​Hi, I am Dr. Kelcie Chiquillo, a molecular marine ecologist. I am also marine biologist, marine science educator, certified 200-hour yoga instructor, certified 50-hour yin yoga instructor, NIH-certified inclusive mentor, and PADI SCUBA Divemaster. 

Because of my lived experiences, I am a co-founder of AWOCSpace, LLC, a training and consulting company that creates a safe space for women of color (WOC) in the workplace.

Invasive Marine Ecology. ​

I am interested in uncovering the link between climate change and the mechanisms that drive invasion success to the functioning of ecosystems. My research integrates field studies and cutting-edge genomic tools to understand a variety of ecological and evolutionary questions in marine and terrestrial environments to better inform management and restoration.
